Winners of these awards receive recognition throughout the (ISC)² Security Congress event and recognition during the exclusive VIP awards reception and the attendee networking night, as well as in the InfoSecurity Professional magazine. Each award winner and their nominator will receive a complimentary pass to attend Security Congress.

- You can submit nominations for multiple awards.

There are multiple awards to choose from and today we are highlighting our Tribute Awards – named for some of cybersecurity’s pioneers. Let’s dive in so you know where your nominations fit best! Most awards are open to both (ISC)² members and non-members and each award has specific judging criteria.
(ISC)² Harold F. Tipton Lifetime Achievement Award
The highest award to be given to any cybersecurity professional, this award honors this true pioneer for the information security industry. Candidates should have 15 or more years of experience in the industry and act as an example of ethical lifelong commitment to providing a safer and secure cyber world as described in the (ISC)² Harold F. Tipton Lifetime Achievement Award
(ISC)² F. Lynn McNulty Tribute Award
Honoring the legacy of F. Lynn McNulty, recipients of this award are selected for their advocacy and commitment to protecting the government (federal, state, or local government), the armed forces or the wider public sector (national or local) information security workforce and/or strengthening the security of their country’s information resources and infrastructure. McNulty was a tireless advocate for the government information security industry. Recipients of his named award must also show vision and innovation while working in the government information security workforce (at the federal, state or local level) or in the armed forces. (ISC)² James R. Wade Service Award
As a non-profit association, volunteerism is an important pillar of membership for (ISC)². James R. Wade set an example for giving back, serving the association and his fellow members as a long-time contributor and board member of (ISC)². This tribute award honors his memory by recognizing those who provide valuable contributions back to the association. The (ISC)² James R. Wade Service Award criteria focuses on volunteerism and the impact of the person’s contributions to (ISC)².
Julie Peeler Franz “Do It For The Children” Volunteer Award
Named in memory of the first Director of the (ISC)² Foundation, now known as The Center for Cyber Safety and Education, who was an advocate for teaching children and adults to be safe and secure online. This award specifically recognizes the honoree’s dedication and volunteer efforts for the Center and their impact on the fundraising efforts benefiting the non-profit’s mission. The Julie Peeler Franz Award is awarded based on the criteria of impact, commitment and utilization of the Centers’ programs.
