I hope you, your families and your colleagues are well.
Back in August, (ISC)² Board of Directors Chairperson Dr. Kevin Charest, CISSP, shared the news with you that I was selected as our association’s new CEO. I am honored by this opportunity. I stand in admiration of the enormity of the responsibility each of you have every day to secure organizations around the world, and I am excited about what we will accomplish together.
I have spent the majority of my career helping professional associations deliver on their value-promise to members. I look forward to working with the Board, the (ISC)² team and all of you to write the next chapter in the history of this great organization. Building on the transformational work of my predecessor David Shearer, CISSP, our team is committed to investing in your professional growth and success.
In me, you have a dedicated, tireless advocate for you, this profession and our collective vision of inspiring a safe and secure cyber world.
Out of the starting gate, my focus is on:
• Advancing our certifications, ensuring that the market recognizes and values your expertise
• Strengthening the benefits you derive from your membership, including new learning opportunities like our Professional Development Institute
• Continuing to grow our ranks to expand the workforce with skilled and talented professionals
In the coming weeks and months, I look forward to hearing your feedback on the association and the areas in which we can better support you. I hope you’ll join us online for the 10th annual (ISC)² Security Congress next month, where I will listen to and learn from many of you.
