    Or for that matter, would you be prepared to work for an employer who appears to want you to disclose proprietary details from your previous employers? If that is an indicator of their ethical culture, how much do you want to join the team?

    The most interesting piece is when you have to approach these topics with business owners as their CIO or virtual CIO. Those of us in the technical world get exposed to different forms of intellectual or digital property and many companies have a hard time writing a decent AUP or employment agreement much less enforcing it. I always am nervous when working for a client that rides a blurry ethical line because you never know if and when they will do the same thing to you.
